Summer Enrichment Programs

Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad program– YES Abroad students promote mutual understanding between the United States and their host country by forming lasting relationships with the local community. National Security Language Initiative for Youth– NSLI-Y provides intensive language immersion programs in locations around the world. Beginners are encouraged to apply, previous language experience is not required. https://www.nsliforyouth.org/

Year Round Enrichment Programs

Acequia Culture Youth Leadership Institute– Acequia Youth Leaders (age 14-19) from across NM will be chosen to participate in a PAID learning and leadership program. There will be guest presenters; field trips and skill building workshops; and youth discussions and projects. Applications for summer 2024 open in February. https://lasacequias.org/youth-leadership/

High Mountain Institute– During the HMI Summer Term, rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from across the country engage in a unique summer experience in the Rocky Mountains. Financial Aid is available. https://hminet.org/hmi-summer-term/

Oxbridge Academic Programs– courses are specifically designed to be taught experientially, through discussion, debate, and experiment, and to culminate in student-driven projects and presentations. Financial aid is available. https://oxbridgeprograms.com/about-oxbridge/

Rustic Pathways Climate Leaders Fellowship– a leadership development program for students (age 14-18) interested in climate change and environmental sustainability. Deadline to apply February 11th. https://rusticpathways.com/young-climate-leaders-fellowship
